Description

The flowing coupé silhouette—conceived by Pininfarina icons such as Aldo Brovarone and Leonardo Fioravanti—impresses with its timeless elegance. Under the guidance of Giotto Bizzarrini, Scaglietti crafted the finest aluminium panels into one of Ferrari’s most distinctive body shapes. The E-series is marked out by five-bolt Cromodora wheels, a widened track, and harmoniously sporty proportions.

At the rear resides the legendary 2.4-litre V6 engine, producing 195 bhp at 7,600 rpm, whose unmistakable sound, spirited power delivery, and eagerness to rev continue to thrill enthusiasts. The robust cast-iron block with aluminium cylinder heads, combined with a precise five-speed manual gearbox, ensures a direct and engaging shifting experience. The Dino accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 235 km/h. The E-series benefited from improved traction and enhanced driving stability. Approximately 2,450 examples were produced between 1971 and 1974.

This particular Dino was manufactured in October 1971 and first registered in Switzerland in December of the same year. In 1979, it was traded in at Ferrari dealer Foitek in Zurich. By 2022, the car had passed through four different owners. A Ferrari Certificate and an FIA Identity Card from 2018 attest to its authenticity. In 2013, both the engine and braking system underwent a comprehensive overhaul.

Today, the car presents in outstanding condition. In 2022, it underwent a full restoration—both inside and out—by the renowned specialists at Zanasi in Maranello. The elegant Azzurro La Plata paintwork, combined with a red quilted interior and colour-matched racing seats, pays homage to the 1957 250 GT Berlinetta Tour de France, whose colour scheme has been masterfully reinterpreted here. A true one-of-a-kind, combining style, performance, and technical finesse—an automotive jewel for the discerning collector.
